I Love the Dough — The Notorious B.I.G. ft. Jay-Z

Let’s talk facts & figures

For the past two weeks, I’ve been contemplating whether or not to publish this post. Now, with the current hype surrounding Jay-Z’s 4:44, it only seems right — and a little late.

When talking finances, my current reality is that I am swimming in debt. And it’s not the end of the world.

I start a new job in a few weeks, and my main focus will be to pay off these bills. Aside from my lifelines — one through blood, the other through love — I’ve managed to use my credit to stay afloat.

At one point, I considered bankruptcy. TLC & Donald Trump did it, so eh!

I think that when considering my car loan, student loans, and credit card balances, I’ve amassed $100,000 Β worth of debt. So, I’ve decided to use my current situation as a life lesson. The main takeaway being: use your income to invest in your future — general savings, IRAs, CDs, education, etc.

Have you ever seen an armored truck follow a hearse?

We’re human so mistakes will be made. Acknowledging those mistakes and doing something about it shows the fight in each one of us. 😊
